The canopy over Plymouth Rock protects Plymouth Rock from people
who would like to touch or take some of it home with them.

This is the second canopy to cover the Rock.
The first one had some of the bones of the Pilgrims
in a box placed in the canopy.

But, it was decided that the bones should be reburied
in this sarcophagus on Cole's Hill which overlooks the harbor.
