Worldwide, everyone now knows that hurricanes are one of the most powerful and destructive forces on earth.
Lives are saved because of more accurate weather prediction but this was not always so.
On September 21, 1938 this unnamed hurricane hit the coastal area of New England, destroying property and killing all in its path and no one knew it was coming...
